A new Information Board has been put in place at the Mannachie entrance to Sanquhar Woodlands. The Board includes a very high quality detailed map showing the tracks and paths in the Woodlands. This is the first of five Boards that will be located at the main entry points to the wood. The majority of the project was paid for with a Community Grant from ‘Paths for All’. The Information Boards should enable walkers to explore more of the woodlands and visit areas that they do not usually walk.
The Information Boards have been made of materials that are designed to be vandal and rot resistant as the previous wooden boards, which did not have maps, suffered both from vandal and rot damage.
