Forres Community Woodlands Trust was one of three charities in the Forres area to benefit from the Co-op Community Fund to which 1% of Co-op members spend is donated. Charities are then nominated by local Co-op members to receive this money. The FCWT received almost £1400 which will be spent on the eradication of invasive, alien species in the woods such as rhododendron and laurel. Forres in Bloom and the Forres Area Community Trust were the other recipients at a presentation held in the Co-op on Forres High St.
