The final round of the Scottish Cycling North Dirt Crit series took place on the last Saturday of September at Sanquhar Mountain Bike trails in Forres. The event was hosted by Moray Mountain Bike Club on the fantastic trails that are managed by the Forres Community Woodland Trust. A group of the FCWT volunteers ensured that the trails were in tip top condition in time for the race.
A total of 67 competitors took part in categories from Under 6 to Under 16. Also on hand on the day was local bike shop the Bike Bothy, who provided parents with coffee and supplied the prizes for winners in each category.Moray Mountain Bike Club, who have recently trained a new group of leaders in order to continue to develop their Juniors section, have hosted the event in Sanquhar for a number of years and plan to continue to do so thanks to the fantastic local support for the race.
